Position Selection
Why positions are important
Every kid wants to be the one to score the goals, but without players that create the chances, the goals don't exist.
-
Without Defenders, you can't win back possession and build an attack.
-
Without Midfielders, there is no one to transition from the Defenders to the Attackers.
Every position has an important role during the game and playing kids in positions that suit their strengths, will ultimately help them stay enthusiastic.
Below are brief descriptions of every common position you will find in all forms of soccer. Please take a moment to read them and then fill out the form at the bottom of the page.
Not only will this allow us to play the team in their desired positions, but we can also then design training sessions to focus on the main skills every player will need to shine in their chosen role.
